Execution

an idea I had of a futuristic soldier about to kill a Deinonychus, but unbeknownst to him, the Dinosaur is about to stab him in the back with its large toe claw.

inspired by a scene from Carnosaur. in wich after mortaly wounding a Deinonychus, the sheriff of the town in the movie. walks up to it and prepares to finish off the fallen dinosaur. though he is impaled through the back by the raptor's foot claw, and as a dying act, blows off the dinosaur's head. then the sheriff dies.

the movie itself is quite interesting. though the ending was a little messed up. as all the main charactors die. the movie however did have alot of great scenes. and the movie was made after Jurassic Park, I want to make clear these films CARNOSAUR and Jurassic Park are verry diffrent.

while Jurassic Park trys to show dinosaurs as animals, and not monsters, CARNOSAUR does the exact opposite. and to make it clear, it did so on purpose. making the dinosaurs more of monsters, and in doing so, Carnosaur IMO felt more like a horror/sci-fi movie. theres alot of scenes in the film that are pretty scary. theres even a scene where the Deinonychus walks up to a pet store, and eat the puppies in the display window. (the film was quite gory, though I don't remember it as much, so I could be exagerating idk) that scene leads up to the scene depicted in my drawing.

I was originaly going to draw the sheriff. however forgeting what he looked like, and with no reference I desided instead to draw a futuristic soldier. I would have also added text and a Background, but I was stumped on what text to put, and I can't draw backgrounds to well. though I would have liked a town street background like in the movie.
